I am a Senior Technical Director, VFX Artist and Crowd Simulation Lead with over two decades of experience bridging the gap between high-end feature VFX pipelines and cutting-edge academic research.
Most recently, as a Crowd Artist at Framestore, I engineered a custom Houdini pipeline for the 2023 Netflix / General Motors Super Bowl campaign. This required taking feature-level Army of the Dead assets originally built for Massive and translating them into a fully functional Houdini system, seamlessly integrating live-action actors, volumetric captures, and massive 3D procedural hordes.
Beyond high-end commercial and feature pipelines, I have also served as a VFX Supervisor for independent films such as Strait Undercover.
Alongside my production work, I have served as an Assistant Professor of 3D Digital Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). My tenure-track research focused heavily on procedural methodologies, AI integration for performance capture, and next-generation crowd simulation workflows. Backed by initiatives like the Provost Learning Innovations Grant, I actively develop advanced R&D and curriculum that mirror modern feature-film industry practices.
